France’s No. 1 retailer for fishing equipment has registered yet another drop in turnover, down by 3.91% to €5,565 million for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2007. Mondial Pêche indicated that its sales were now stable on a same-store basis, and that the weather had hurt its profits during the summer. In the second quarter, the group saw a 7.91% drop in turnover to €5,894 million compared with the same quarter the previous year. Consolidated sales dipped by 1.79 percent during the first nine months to €15,339 million, while on a same-store basis sales inched up by 0.4 percent to €15,163 million.
