Frank van Wezel, chairman of Hi-Tec, has announced the promotion of his 30-year-old son Edward as general manager of the family-owned company. He has worked at Hi-Tec in various roles since 1999, and his will not work closely alongside his father in the day-to-day running of the company. Hi-Tec has also announced the promotion of Helen Durant as the group’s new PR manager and the appointment of Chris Mole as group sourcing director. Taking over some of the responsibilities of Martin Binnendijk, recently named European president of Hi-Tec, Mole will handle an the production and logistic issues related to the group. He worked previously as a special projects consultant at Ernst & Young for six years.
