Franz Koch, who left as chief executive of Puma in March 2013 after only two years in the job, has become a managing partner of Mykita, a brand of designer eyewear in Berlin, with an undisclosed financial stake. He will oversee B2B sales, production, finance, IT and human resources. The other managing partner is the company's founder, Moritz Krueger, who will concentrate on design. Koch's appointment follows the departure of all of Krueger's former partners last Feb. 17 in connection with an investment in the company by Bernd Beetz, a 64-year-old manager who spent more than 20 years at Procter & Gamble and acted most recently as chief executive of Coty. Beetz is said to be interested now in the acquisition of Bogner (see the article in Corporate section). More on Mykita in Eyewear Intelligence.
