Gaastra International Sportswear has signed a European licensing agreement for its footwear with the Newport Footwear subsidiary of another Dutch company, Star Collections, which will start taking care of deliveries from next spring. Gaastra was previously developing and distribution its footwear on its own. Separately, Gaastra has signed up with W.L. Gore & Associates to incorporate its Gore-Tex and Windstopper technologies into some of its nautical and lifestyle garments from the spring of 2015. The Dutch company has already started to use them in the clothing being developed for the Burnel team participating in the Volvo Ocean Race.
