Giordana Cycling Apparel has announced a new multi-year clothing agreement with Orica-Bike Exchange, an Australian professional road-race cycling team that competes on the UCI World Tour. The team will be wearing Giordana clothing for all racing and training activities beginning in January 2017. The Italian brand will also supply the women's team. Giordana was founded in 1972, when Giorgio Andretta first imported Italian cycling apparel, which he had designed, into North America. In 1979, Andretta trademarked the “Giordana” name in honor of his daughter. Giordana has recently opened its own manufacturing facility in Italy. Giordana's apparel has been worn and endorsed by numerous professional teams including Motorola, CSC, Once, Cofidis, and Silber Pro Cycling.
