Glenmuir, the Scottish golf brand, has become the official apparel sponsor of the Icons Cup, a two-day team competition that is held this year for the first time at the Jumeirah Golf Estates' Earth Course in Dubai on April 22-24. The competition will pit Team USA against Team Rest of the World, which will both get their official uniforms from Glenmuir – including trousers, polo shirts and caps. Glenmuir has supplied the European Ryder Cup Team shirts and knitwear for 30 years. The teams bring together 24 players, captained by Fred Couples and Darren Clarke, who will all attend a fitting upon arrival in Dubai. The teams include players from other sports, such as the football players Gabriel Batistuta and Luis Figo, the cricketer Shane Warne, the rugby player Brian O'Driscoll and the five-time Olympic gold medal rower Steve Redgrave.
