GoPro saw its share price move up by 6 percent as it unveiled on Monday a much-awaited new range of products including its first drone, called Karma, which can fly for 18 minutes and has image stabilization technology. Unlike the drones of DJI and other competitors, GoPro's drone doesn't yet have advanced features such as “follow me” or object avoidance, though. It will become available in the U.S. on Oct. 23. In Europe, it will be offered as a package with a carry-on backpack for a total retail price of €869.99, or €1,200 together with a camera. GoPro is also introducing a new series of Hero5 action cameras that can go with the drone. Video quality, battery life and other options including voice recognition are included. Available in Europe from Oct. 2, they can also be connected with a new cloud-based GoPro Plus application that avoids editing the footage on a computer, starting in October in the U.S. and in Europe from January.
