Greg Hopkins has resigned as chief executive of Cleveland Golf/Srixon, the golf company based in Huntington Beach, California, after 16 years. Hopkins, who is now 57 years old, was first hired as president in 1997. Following his departure, Todd Harman remains president of the company, which is owned by Dunlop Sports in Japan. Until last May, Dunlop Sports was called SRI Sports. It is still part of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, producer and marketer of Dunlop branded balls. In 2007, SRI Sports added Cleveland Golf to Srixon, purchasing it from the Rossignol group for $132.5 million.
