Groupe Go Sport of France has re-entered the Belgian market through a franchisee, FNX Sport, which has opened three stores under the Go Sport banner. The locations were previously occupied by Intersport, which has reduced its operations in the country sharply because of competition from Décathlon and Sports Direct. Groupe Go Sport previously operated 10 Go Sport full-line stores and a few Courir athletic footwear shops in Belgium, but it decided to get out of the country because of continuous losses. It sold its five remaining Go Sport stores to C&A in 2008. Go Sport is already rather successful financially with its 21 other franchised stores, especially in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
