Gumercindo Moraes Neto has resigned as president of Asics for Latin America, with effect from Nov. 1. Alexandre Fiorati, the chief financial officer of Asics do Brasil, is said to be taking over his place. A veteran of the Brazilian sporting goods industry, Gumercindo plans to take a six-month sabbatical, but he will be in Munich for the 40th anniversary of the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) in January. He was appointed president of Asics do Brasil in August 2015. One year ago he became responsible also for the brand's operations in Argentina, Peru, Chile and Colombia.
