HanesBrands announced that Lorenzo Moretti has been appointed president of Champion Europe, effective July 2023. Moretti will lead Champion Europe’s direct-to-consumer business and build on the company’s strong position in wholesale channels. The focus is on growing the Champion brand across Europe. He will be based in Carpi, Italy.
Moretti brings extensive experience in activewear, consumer goods, marketing, e-commerce and retail. He joins from Dr. Martens - Airwair International Ltd, where he served as EMEA president, driving significant sales and profit growth while expanding into new and existing markets. Prior to joining Dr. Martens in 2020, he was chief executive officer at Office Holdings, Ltd, a U.K. fashion retailer. Previously, he held senior positions at Nike, where he was responsible for European football strategy and development, as well as the company’s European DTC business. Moretti has also held senior positions at Gap and Tesco in the past.
