Head has granted a license for the development and the sale of Head branded bikes in Austria and some Eastern European countries, according to velobiz.de, the German online news service for the bicycle industry. The collection was presented at the first edition of a new Austrian trade show, Best of Bike, in Salzburg last week. The licensee is the Czech manufacturer Novus Bike, which markets the Sundance brand in Austria and Germany. The Head collection comprises mountain bikes for beginners as well as higher-end products with carbon frames plus two e-bikes. Novus Bike will not sell the items in Germany, where the Head license for bikes is held by BOC/Bikemax, a large German specialty retailer.
