HeiQ has announced a new kind of PFC-free durable water repellence (DWR) that can withstand dry cleaning. The new DWR products extend the Swiss textile company's Eco Dry line, which was launched in 2013, and repel water-based stains. According to the company, they are suitable for silk and wool, and yield fewer chalk marks and a softer hand than similar products on the market. The Eco Dry line has been certified by Oeko-Tex, the association of European and Japanese textile-testing institutes, and by bluesign.
