Hi-Tec Sports has appointed Brad Gebhard chief executive of its U.S. operations. The U.S. industry veteran will oversee Hi-Tec's sports division as well as Magnum, the specialty brand of work footwear. Bill Berta will continue to manage Hi-Tec Sports, but he will report to Gebhard, who is expected to set a new strategic vision and run the company's strategic marketing campaigns, reporting to Ed van Wezel, global CEO. The former chief executive of Magnum, Bob Kaiser, has resigned on the basis of a mutual agreement to accept other business opportunities.
