Hi-Tec, the British outdoor brand, has teamed up with the National Trust to come up with a small range of walking boots with an environmentally friendly slant. The company admits that it still has a long way to go to make greener products, but the range, which is emblazoned with the National Trust logo, an oak tree branch, marks the start of Hi-Tec’s endeavors in this field. The deal was originated by Hi-Tec itself and resulted in the Altitude Enviro WP, using Ion Mask technology. The National Trust is a highly recognized organization in the U.K., which drew several leading British retailers to the Hi-Tec range at the Ispo fair. It is a charity with more than 3.7 million members and 55,000 volunteers dedicated to preserving the buildings, countryside and coastline of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
