Hickies, the clever American shoe lacing system, has been ordered by retailers operating 400 Intersport stores in Germany, accounting for about 16-17 percent of all Intersport stores in Germany, as well as by members of Intersport Austria. From autumn 2016, Hickies will also be sold by Intersport in England and France. The company is currently in discussion with Intersport Italy. In Germany, Hickies is also working with two other voluntary groups, Sport 2000 and GMS, and with department stores like Galeria Kaufhof. The colors of the shoe lacing system offered by Hickies match Adidas' and Nike's shoe collections, as well as with the Leguano shoe brand, which introduced the product to its 59 Leguano stores in Germany. In spring 2017, Hickies will be launching a new product line, Hickies 2.0, featuring some technical variations, as well as its first Hickies kids' collection. The brand is now sold in about 25 markets in Europe, North America and Asia and on its website, hickies.com. Germany, France, England and Austria are covered by sales agencies, while Hickies is working with distributors in Italy, Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, as well as in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, Australia and Canada. The U.S. market is covered directly from the brand's headquarters in New York, in cooperation with local sales agencies.
