Hummel has collaborated with the Afghan Football Federation to create a new kit for the women's national football team that incorporates a hijab while offering optimal comfort. In order to address the footballers' real needs, the Danish sports apparel brand worked with Khalida Popal, the former captain of the team. The effort clearly went beyond the simple sporting dimension, since for decades Afghan women have had to fight to enjoy the right to play football.
