Hurley, Nike's boardsports apparel brand, has appointed John Schweitzer as its chief executive and chief financial officer. Schweitzer is replacing Bob Coombes, who was made general manager in 2015, with the departure of Hurley's founder and CEO, Bob Hurley. Schweitzer has been with Nike since 2000 and first served in various financial positions. He was Hurley's CEO and chief operating officer from 2006 to 2009, before moving for seven years to Converse. There he was CFO before becoming vice president and general manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and then the world. Schweitzer started out as a certified public accountant.
