IC Companys, parent company of Peak Performance, is joining the Leather Working Group, whose members include companies such as Ecco, H&M and Timberland. The groups has an internet-based grading system that measures the level of compliance by tanners with specific guidelines for the level of harmful substances in leather and its traceability. IC Companys is already a member of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition, the Danish Ethical Design Initiative, the Business Social Compliance Initiative and an association called Kemikaliegruppen.
