Icebug, the Swedish brand specializing in footwear with grip for icy conditions, is expanding strongly in the U.S. and Northern Europe. Icebug took over the distribution of its products in Norway last November, hiring two new sales representatives for the market. In addition, Icebug plans to establish a subsidiary in the U.S., with a head office and warehouse based in Bellingham, Washington, in the course of this year. The brand already hired Evan Wert as North American sales and marketing director last June, and formed a team of eight sales reps to cover various parts of the country. Last November, Icebug appointed Jerker Levin, former sales manager at Nudie Jeans, as sales director, replacing Tom Neilsson, who became vice president of the brand. Henrik Toumas joined Icebug in January as new quality manager, replacing Erik Öhlund.
