Ifema, owner of the main fairgrounds in Madrid, is proposing to organize the first indoor show for cycling and triathlon in Spain. Called Expobike, it is scheduled for Sept. 14-16, the same dates as the well-established Festibike fair, a B2B and B2C event that has been taking place every year under tents in the suburban town of Las Rozas. Last September, Festibike attracted 130 exhibitors and about 42,000 visitors. The organizers of this show have decided to eliminate its mountain bike section, which hosted 12 companies last year on an experimental basis. Festibike has launched a new website for exhibitors and consumers.
