Connected fitness platform iFIT is expanding into entertainment with Trainer Games, a reality competition series that will see ten elite athletes compete in Mauritius for a $250,000 (€237,000) contract and the opportunity to join the company’s global trainer team.

iFIT, the global leader in intelligent fitness technology, announced on 4 December 2025 the launch of Trainer Games, a six-episode reality competition series premiering on Prime Video in the U.S. on 8 January 2026 and included with Prime membership.

Hosted by Emmy-nominated television personality and fitness entrepreneur Amanda Kloots, the series follows ten elite competitors as they navigate extreme physical challenges across the landscapes of Mauritius, competing for the title of Trainer Games Champion, a contract, and a position among iFIT’s elite global trainer team.

High-stakes competition meets transformation

The series is executive produced by Nick Rigg, Fred Pichel (who also serves as showrunner), iFIT’s Michael Hamblin, and Sony Pictures Television. Contestants will face tests of strength, agility, stamina, and determination, with mentorship from elite iFIT trainers including Hannah Eden, Ashley Paulson, and John Peel.

Trainer Games embodies everything iFIT stands for - elite coaching, real transformation, and unforgettable experiences,” said Jeremy McCarty, Chief Subscription & Content Officer at iFIT. “It’s engaging from the very first challenges with athletes battling through unpredictable challenges, surprise twists with the pressure of competing for the most sought-after job in fitness: becoming an iFIT Trainer.”

The convergence of fitness, technology, and commerce

The launch of Trainer Games represents a strategic expansion for iFIT into entertainment content, highlighting the broader convergence of the fitness economy with technology platforms and sporting goods markets.

The global fitness industry has increasingly embraced digital transformation, with connected fitness platforms leveraging software, hardware, and content to create immersive experiences that extend beyond traditional gym environments.

This intersection has created new revenue streams and engagement opportunities, as companies like iFIT utilize streaming technology and data analytics to deliver personalized workouts whilst building brand loyalty through compelling content. The move into reality television programming demonstrates how fitness companies are evolving beyond equipment manufacturers into lifestyle brands that compete for consumer attention across multiple channels.
