Implus, the owner of the Yaktrax line of traction devices for footwear, has bought Kako ICEtrekkers, maker of heavy-duty grips including Spikes, Chains and Diamond Grip. Kako ICEtrekkers have mostly been popular in the safety industrial market, but have been gaining in popularity at retail in recent years.
