In 2012, total sales of Hervis Sports, the Austrian sporting goods retail chain, decreased slightly by 2 percent to €441 million even though it opened three more doors, including the first one in Germany in autumn. The subsidiary of the Spar food chain says the declining turnover is a result of the difficult economic environment in Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia. In addition to those markets, Hervis covers Austria with 76 doors and has a total of 97 stores abroad, including in the Czech Republic and Romania.
