In another initiative that is confined for the moment to the U.S. market, New Balance has put together a 72-page catalog of sports and lifestyle products developed exclusively for women. Apparel takes up 70 percent of the space in the new booklet, which was set to come out in three stages during the current autumn/winter season, starting with a circulation of one million copies. The initiative has been steered by Sarah Kopriva, who became last April the head of the company's global women's business unit.
