In the framework of an internal restructuring process, Head Sport appointed Roman Stepek as chief executive for its sportswear division with effect from July 1. Stepek, who replaces Daniel Gottschall, reports directly to Head's controlling shareholder and chief executive, Johan Eliasch. He will be responsible for the realignment of Head's sportswear division, focusing on the tennis and ski apparel segments and using synergies with Head's hardware division. Head is also aiming to re-enter the premium segment of the sports apparel market, where it had a strong, trend-setting position many years ago. Stepek's review comes after Head took back the sportswear license in 2011. Its effects are expected to become visible with Head's spring/summer 2018 apparel collection. Stepek recently resigned as chief executive of Mountain Force, the high-end sports apparel brand from Switzerland that is produced by KTC in China. He previously worked for the Kjus brand as vice president in charge of the supply chain.
