Intersport Austria will open three new stores in Austria by the end of this year. They will be located in Graz, Salzburg-Bergheim and Linz. The existing Intersport stores in Ottensheim and Weiz will be renovated. Intersport is investing about €15 million in its retail network and creating about 160 new jobs. Intersport Austria reports that it managed to increase its total sales by 4.8 percent to €602 million in the 2018/19 business year, which ended on Sept. 30. The biggest drivers of growth were the winter-sports, bike and outdoor segments.
