Intersport/Elverys is taking over sponsorship of the Tipperary GAA, board of the county's Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The sponsorship deal covers both the hurling and football codes and includes all grades for the next two years, starting with the 2015 season. The kit features the Intersport brand name on the front and Elverys' on the back. Elverys has been affiliated with Intersport since 1995 and the ties were reinforced when Intersport UK supported a management buyout at Elverys last year. Tipperary is regarded as one of the most successful hurling counties in the GAA. Elverys is the GAA's official partner and its number one retailer. It has been sponsoring the Mayo GAA since 1998 and in 2006 it opened a store at Croke Park as well as shops in Dublin's famous stadium. The agreement was unveiled at Hayes's Hotel Thurles, where the GAA was established in 1884, during a get-together attended by such hurling stars as Michael Cahill, Denis Maher, Joe (Mouse) O'Dwyer, Patrick (Bonnar) Maher and Bill Maher.
