Invista Apparel, maker of Lycra, is revamping its global structure in the hope of fostering innovation and strengthening customer relationships. It has created two new regions – western and eastern – to serve customers. The western region will combine EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) with the company's North, Central and South American operations, while the eastern region will group South Asia and Asia-Pacific. Max Wiesendanger will head up the western region, with Dan Kotkin in charge of the east. Wally McWalter will oversee Invista's global spandex manufacturing assets, supply chain and commercial development initiatives, and Don Burich is leading the same aspects of the nylon segment. Burich was formerly head of the Americas region. Marketing and global technology will be more closely aligned under the supervision of Bob Kirkwood, the company's chief technology officer and formerly head of research and development. Serge Vigouroux takes over responsibility for business development and brand strategy.
