After circling the city with its sports mega-stores in the last few years, Maxi Sport is gearing up to open its first store inside Milan in November, covering 4,000 square meters in its district of Trezzano sul Naviglio. A specific area of the store will be dedicated to basketball, streetwear and snowboarding. Maxi Sport recently renovated its first 2,500-square-foot store at Merate, which was opened in 1989, adding five years later a special 250-square-meter area for streetwear and snowboarding that was subsequently expanded into a 650-sqm space for basketball, streetwear and snowboarding. It then opened two other stores near Milan in Lissone (Decathlon has its Italian head office in Lissone) and Sesto San Giovanni, followed by another one in the northern Italian city of Brescia. Meanwhile, Maxi Sport continues to invest on its maxisport.com web store, which was first launched in 2012 for the whole Italian market.
