J. Lindberg, the Swedish apparel company, whose sports clothing focuses on ski and golf, has appointed Jens Werner to the newly created position of creative director. Werner joined J. Lindberg as design director of sports in October 2016. In May 2017, he assumed the position of design director also for the company's men's and women's fashion clothing, working closely with Johan Lindberg, founder of the company. Werner began his career at the Adidas Style office, where he worked for the Adidas Y-3 brand, collaborating with the Yohji-Yamamoto team in Tokyo. He worked also with Raf Simons, Rick Owens, Juun J., Kanye West and Tom Dixon. Later on, he served as design director for the Tory Sport collection of Tory Burch. His first activewear collection for J. Lindberg will be on sale in the stores from January 2018. His entire collection will be presented in January at the Copenhagen Fashion Week. J. Lindberg has 90 stores owned by the company and 35 shop-in-shops in 35 countries. It sells its products at more than 900 points of sale worldwide.
