Jan-Thomas Metge, managing director of Intersport Multichannel, the company that has developed and orchestrated Intersport Germany's strategy for on- and offline retailing, has left the company at his own request. According to his profiles on the Xing and Linkedin websites, he has gone into business for himself with a consultancy called JTM Consulting. Stephan Lemm succeeds Metge in his post. From February until June, he worked together with Metge as second chief executive, familiarizing himself with his new position. Lemm ran Slem4, a marketing and consultancy agency, after acting as managing director of Yves Rocher, the French cosmetics company, in the German-speaking region, where he introduced a multi-channel sales system. Intersport Germany launched an online shop for all its trade partners in March 2013. According to the company, 960 of its 1,500 stores are already affiliated with the service. About 100 trade partners manage their own online stores and sell their products additionally on online marketplaces such as Amazon.
