Jean-Philippe Bailly has been appointed chief operating officer for the Kering group, starting on April 1, with responsibility for the supply chain, logistics and industrial activities. Replacing Karlheinz Hofer, he will report to Jean-François Palus, deputy managing director of the group, which owns Puma and Volcom along a cohort of luxury goods brands. The 48-year-old Frenchman comes from Richemont, where he has been in charge of the supply chain and procurement since 2004. He began his career in sports marketing and sports publications in the U.S.
