Jeff McGuane, the global president of Dorel's Cycling Sports Group (CSG), has resigned from his post. McGuane's decision was reportedly due to personal reasons and was not related to Dorel's recent announcement that the group would cut 50 positions worldwide, following disappointing sales in the first half of the year. McGuane has spent most of his professional career with Cannondale, one of CSG's brands, having started with the company as a credit manager in 1994. Since then, he has held positions of rising responsibility at Cannondale including sales account manager, regional manager, president of Japan/Australia, and president of Europe, from 2004-08, when Cannondale registered a tremendous growth in the region. In 2008, when Dorel acquired Cannondale and Sugoi, placing them under its CSG division, McGuane was promoted to president of CSG International, where he served for ten months before being appointed president of CSG North America, a position that he held until January 2012. McGuane is a member of the board of directors of Bike Walk Connecticut and a former director of the International Mountain Biking Association.
