John Burke, president of Trek Bicycle, has notified Accell Group that his family wants to sell its stake in the publicly traded Dutch bicycle and fitness company. The shareholding had been purchased by his late father, Richard (Dick) Burke, who died in March from complications during heart surgery. He quietly grew his stake in Accell from slightly over 5 percent in 2004 to 8.62 percent (818,681 shares) currently. Based on the trading price of Accell shares on Wednesday, the stake is worth about €19.6 million.
