John Slusher, former vice-president of sports marketing for Nike’s Asia-Pacific unit, has been promoted to vice-president of global sports marketing. Slusher, 38, replaces Adam Helfant, who left at the end of September following 12 years with the company. A trained lawyer, Slusher has been with Nike since 1998. During that time, he has also handled Nike’s involvement with professional sports leagues and led negotiation teams on many of its sports marketing agreements.
