Jon Hoerauf, global commercial leader at Arc'teryx, has been appointed as the Canadian outdoor brand's new president and general manager. He replaces Vincent Wauters, who strongly expanded Arc'teryx while leading the company in the last four years. Wauters was appointed in August as head of the apparel business unit for the whole Amer Sports group, the Finnish company that owns Arc'teryx. It was announced earlier this month that Wauters was leaving the company, but Arc'teryx added a few days ago that he would remain to assist the transition. Prior to Arc'teryx, Hoerauf spent 13 years at The North Face, in various functions from sales to marketing and product. He will report directly to Heikki Takala, chief executive of Amer Sports.
