Just a few weeks after his departure from the top of Puma's European operations, Sergio Bucher has been appointed head of apparel at Amazon Europe. Bucher has been in the apparel and sporting goods industry since 1987 in various positions with DuPont (then owner of Invista and various brands of man-made fibers such as Lycra) and Inditex (Zara). From 2004 through 2007, Bucher served at Nike in several positions on the Iberian Peninsula and the EMEA region. He joined Puma to run the brand's retail operations and was promoted, in April of last year, to be head of Puma in Europe. As reported, he has been replaced by Volfango Bondi in that job.
