K-Swiss, the company acquired by E-Land last year, has signed a distribution agreement for its tennis shoes, clothing and accessories in the U.K., Germany, Austria and the Benelux countries with Brands Inc., a subsidiary of Sports Direct International. Sales and distribution of K-Swiss' tennis lines will be combined with those of Dunlop equipment. They will be coordinated by Frans Swinkels, the managing director of Dunlop Slazenger Central Europe, who is based in Eindhoven, in the Netherlands. The deal comes after the American company's new management decided to close down its offices in the U.K. and Germany and concentrate all its back-office operations for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at its European head office at Haarlem, in the Netherlands, which is headed up by Wim Tuijl. K-Swiss EMEA will thus fully focus on its lifestyle business.
