K2 has announced that Van Brinkerhoff, long-time group sales director, is retiring from his post this May. Brinkerhoff oversaw the sales of the Madshus, Atlas Snow-Shoe, Tubbs Showshoes and K2 Skate brands. The company has named Jason Tillinghast as the new sales director for K2 Outdoor, effective immediately. Brinkerhoff started at K2 in 2006 as a sales manager, after working 10 years as an independent sales rep in the outdoor industry. At K2, he initially oversaw U.S. sales for the Atlas and Madshus brands before also assuming sales management responsibilities for Tubbs and K2 Skate, in 2010. Tillinghast comes to K2 from the Timex Group, where he most recently held the position of sales manager for sports specialty.
