Karstadt has appointed Christian Wilk as sales manager for all its remaining 90 department stores as well as its 32 Karstadt Sporthouses, working together with Abram Nette who joined the group in a similar function in January. They will both report to Helmut Merkel, who runs the Karstadt Warenhaus subsidiary of the Karstadt-Quelle group. Furthermore, Olaf Rotax, who previously worked for the shopping 24.dee-commerce operation, is going to run the karstadt.de internet portal, replacing Jörg Heistermann who will concentrate again on his group purchasing functions.
