Kaufland and Lidl, which are both part of the Schwarz Group, have come out with their own sports collections. While Lidl has launched a line of fitness clothing, Kaufland, a German supermarket chain, has launched its own private sports label of apparel and accessories for yoga, Pilates, running, swimming, inline skating and various ball sports. The new private brand, called Newletics, also includes dumbbells and medicine balls. Kaufland plans to develop seasonal promotional products as well as special promotions for the ski, trekking and bike segments. The first products launched under Kaufland's Newletics private brand are sneaker socks, sports bras, functional shirts and fitness shoes for men and women, all priced below €10; activity trackers and body-fat scales, priced at €20; and a balance ball, priced at €50. The German supermarket chain operates more than 660 stores in Germany.
