Kelme has stopped trading directly in Italy. The Spanish brand has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Gafler, a company run by Gianni Lanfranco as part of his agency, Advanced Distribution, which is also handling other brands such as Prince, Molten and Tretorn. It recently took on board also Storelli, an American brand of protection gear. As in the case of Prince, the deal with Kelme is a hydrid between a distributorship and an agency. Lanfranco introduced the format in 1993 when he signed a deal with Converse for the Italian market.
