Ken Reeve, buying and merchandising director at Cotswold Outdoor, has been hired by JD Sports Fashion, the British sports retailer, to become managing director of Blacks from November. JD bought the British outdoor retailer out of administration for about £20 million (€24.7m-$32.3m) in January. The top slot at Blacks was previously occupied by Julia Reynolds, a former Tesco executive who joined the outdoor retailer last August. It became clear a few weeks ago that she would depart once she had completed the integration of Blacks into JD.
