Kering, along with Adidas and H&M, was named as one of the most sustainable corporations in the world following its inclusion in the 2016 Corporate Knights' Global 100 index, which was published at the World Economic forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Jan. 22. It is the first time that the French holding company has been included in the Global 100, and while it also owns Puma and Volcom, Kering is the only luxury group to be included in the 2016 Global 100. The ranking is based on a group's sustainability performance in 2015. It was in 2015 that Kering published its first Environmental Profit & Loss results and made the tool's methodology open-sourced. Kering's performance rating is based on the evaluation of 12 quantitative Key Performance Indicators including innovation capacity, carbon productivity, leadership diversity, corporate tax strategy and the dependence of the executives' remuneration on the company's sustainability targets. In Sept. 2015 Kering was also recognized in the 2015 Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World and Europe, in which it headed up the Textiles, Apparel & Luxury Goods sector for the second straight year.
