Klättermusen has a new part-time agent in Italy, Mike Larsson, who is working hard to gain notoriety for the brand in the country. Larsson, based in Andonno, visited 72 different retailers in the north of the country on his bike last autumn to showcase the brand’s products, which he pulled behind him on a cart. Two retailers have placed orders, and another five will do so before the spring. Larsson has set up a showroom in Andonno, underneath a rock-climbing site, where products can be tested directly. The Swedish climbing and trekking brand won this year’s Ispo prize for eco-responsibility, because of its Gnå rucksack, which is manufactured from 100 percent recycled fishing nets and carpeting.
