snowindustrynews.com (SIN) reports that the Austrian ski brand Kästle has admitted - “after a flurry of rumors and sightings” - that it is planning to put out a ski boot collection to be unveiled to the public as early as the beginning of 2022. According to SIN, a corresponding boot has already been spotted on the British ski racer Alex Tilley. Kästle has been majority-owned since 2018 by ConsilSport, a Czech company owned by Tomáš Nemec, a Czech billionaire and former ski racer. Founded in 1924 by Anton Kästle, the eponymous company was acquired in 1991 by Benetton. Its operations were shut down seven years later when the Italian group acquired Nordica. In 2007, the trademark rights were purchased by Cross Industries, an Austrian investment group managed by Rudolf Knünz.
