L-Fashion Group has appointed Marco Bava sales director and country manager for Italy. Bava, 45, has a long-standing knowledge of the sporting goods sector. Prior to the Finnish brand, he worked for Invicta and Tecnica, holding sales and marketing responsibilities, as well as IDS and Bata. He also worked for Oberalp where, among other assignments, he was responsible for the launch of Oberspeedo, the joint venture with Pentland. Bava will be based in San Felice del Benaco, in Northern Italy, from where he will manage L-Fashion's Italian network of agents. His priority, in particular, will be to strengthen the Icepeak brand, previously distributed by Oberalp, while relaunching Luhta on the Italian market.
