L-Fashion Group of Finland informally took over the operations of its distributors in the Netherlands earlier this month, in a switch that will be formalized in January. The Finnish company was previously dealing with two companies in the country: Pelser Mode-Agenturen, headed by Marcel Pelser, taking care of the Luhta brand; and Pelser Sport, led by Marcel's son, Remco Pelser, selling the Icepeak brand. This second company also handled Li-Ning, the Chinese brand for which the L-Fashion Group has licensing and distribution rights in several European countries. The spring ranges for all three brands are handled by a new entity, L-Fashion Benelux, under the leadership of Remco Pelser, while Marcel is staying on as an advisor. In a few months the company will also start selling Torstai, a women's sports brand owned by the L-Fashion Group but distributed only in Finland so far. The entire Pelser team has joined L-Fashion Benelux and they will stay in the same locations, with a showroom in Leusden and back office functions in Heteren. Remco Pelser is not only supervising the Dutch team but also the activities of L-Fashion's partners in Belgium and Luxemburg, G-Force for the Icepeak brand and Marcel Schneider from Zone Rouge for Luhta.
