VF Corp. has announced several executive changes at some of its outdoor brands. At Timberland, Jim Pisani has been named the brand's new global president, effective Aug. 8. He replaces Stewart Whitney, who left the company in July after less than two years on the job. Since 2008, Pisani has served as president of VF's Licensed Sports Group, a role which included leading the Majestic brand, the official uniform provider for Major League Baseball (MLB). The group also supplies apparel and fanwear through licensing agreements. Prior to VF, Pisani has held various leadership roles in merchandising, sales, marketing and branding at PepsiCo and Kraft Foods. The new president of VF Licensed Sports Group is Mike Pardini, who has been promoted from vice president of sales.

At Smartwool, also a subsidiary of VF, Mark Satkiewicz has resigned from his role as president and general manager after nearly ten years with the company. The announcement was made at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in early August, effective immediately. Satkiewicz is moving to Toms shoes, where he will take on the role of general manager for the Americas. Scott Baxter, vice president of VF Corp. and group president of action and outdoor sports, will lead Smartwool on an interim basis. Satkiewicz joined Smartwool in 2007 as vice president of sales, shortly after the acquisition of the brand by Timberland. He was promoted to president of Smartwool in 2009. Smartwool became part of VF in 2011, following VF's acquisition of Timberland.

Finally, Vans has appointed Doug Palladini as its new global brand president, with immediate effect. Palladini has been with Vans since 2004. He has served as vice president and general manager for the brand's North America region since 2013. Between 2004 and 2013, he served as Vans' head of global marketing. Along with his new role as global brand president, he will continue to be responsible for sales in the Americas. Palladini is a veteran of the action sports industry with nearly 30 years of leadership experience.
